Teamsport will this year be the technical sponsor of the IFR Champions Cup. The IFR Champions Cup is the first ever event organised by ‘For A Cause Events Ltd’; A Company set-up by four close friends: Nikola Vasovic, Andrew Micallef Trigona, Nora Schembri and Yiannis Paraskevas, whose vision is to organise a variety of premium events in which a portion of proceeds will always be donated to charity. IFR stands for iGaming, Fintech and Real Estate and merges and combines the world’s number one sport with the fastest growing industries locally.
For the second year in a row, a bunch of companies from the iGaming, Fintech & Real Estate Sector are coming together for an epic football tournament to raise money for charity. Last year the tournament managed to raise Euro 9000 which were donated to Puttinu Cares and ALS Malta. This year promises to be even better! 32 companies will be taking part in the tournament and raising money for Puttinu Cares and ALS Malta. The winning team will travel to Russia in 2020 to take part in the Continental Football League. The Marsa Sports Grounds will be turned into the IFR Village on the 7th and 8th of September 2019, whilst the tournament will be happening on three different 7-a-side football pitches.
Friends and families of competing teams are invited to stop by the IFR Village to enjoy the food trucks and entertainment setup, mingle a bit, and support the teams doing their bit for charity. With the opening ceremony being held on the 31st August and the tournament on the 7th and 8th September, this event sure will be a one of a kind with local personalities as well as foreign present.
